Children's swimming lessons are provided free of charge. 2010 Hours:
   10:30 a.m. Swimmers with basic skills
   11:00 a.m. Beginners
   11:30 a.m. Guppies
Adults lessons are by arrangement.

The 2010 awards ceremony, which marks the end of the six week swimming program was held on Friday, August 20. Our program continues to grow every year. After the ceremony the children, parents, grandparents and friends were treated to “ Breakfast on the Beach” followed by a a birthday cake for one of the swimmers. We have continued to expand the program by using the dock during instruction, issuing Red Cross certificated in addition to our certificates and having swimming races on the day of the awards ceremony. The swim instructors: George Glantzis, Brendan Ference, and Matthew Cavanagh would like to thank the Smallwood Civic Association Board for its continued support of the swimming program. A special thank you is extended to Pat Roggero for donating the money for the trophies, medals and ribbons for the swimming races.
